Shellfish in Atlantis

People say "kray" a lot.

It seems to be the new "in thing" to shorten words as much as possible. The problem is, half the time the people you're speaking to don't even know what your slang is referring to.

Just a heads up for you guys, I guess.

But one word shortening always gets to me.

Kray

Whenever someone says 'kray' to me, I automatically think of crayfish... which leads my head to conjure up this image -

Then after that everything goes downhill

I start to create lyrics to the song by Jay-Z and Kanye, only it's aquatic and seafood themed instead of the thug beat it originally is. I laugh at how funny and original I am. Only, let me remind you this thought process happens every time someone says 'kray'

Why Paris? Why not... Atlantis!

I think, "One day, I'll write the entire song based on water-y things! It'll be the best!"

SWIM SO HARD MUTHAFUKAS WANNA EAT ME
something... something...
THAT SHIT CRAY
uh.. yeah this part. something
EXCUSE MY FISH, BUT I'M IN ATLANTIS ( I'M JUST SWIMMIN')

PRINCE ERIC AIN'T DO IT RIGHT IF YOU ASK ME
IF I WERE HIM I WOULD HAVE AQUATA AND ATTINA
[yeah, I even decide to google Ariel's sister's names from the Little Mermaid]

But let's get real, that's not happening any time soon. I realize how stupid this idea is and curl into the fetal position at the thought of myself even finding it a fraction humorous.

Then I start to think about crayfish. What exactly is a crayfish?

THEY LOOK EXACTLY LIKE LOBSTERS

My mind starts to swirl in confusion.

I think about saying anything about the thought process that just occurred, but I'm so worn out from the mind-journey I just went on that I stay silent.

I don't know,
crayfish are kind of cool I guess.
(even if they look like lobsters)
